Barbecue with a Twist

Cookout Flavor without the Cookout Hassle

The summer is hot enough. Do you really want to stand next to an open flame to enjoy that barbecue experience? For many reasons, the grill can be a frustrating experience.

Hard to get started

For anyone who has dealt with charcoal knows this moment, you pile the coals—everyone from your father-in-law to next door neighbor has a method they prefer—as you try to light them. You blow to coax the flame. You blow and blow until you feel light headed. You dose the coals with lighter fluid, which seems to work for a moment, but then the flame goes out.

If it were easy to do, why is there an entire industry built around getting charcoal to light? Chimney starters, grill fans, and lighter cubes all there to lend a hand.

Difficult to control

Cooking with a grill is notoriously tricky. The temperature will be 200 degrees. You walk away for a minute, come back and indicator now says 600! You move the hamburgers away from the inferno. When you’re done, the burgers are black and crispy on the outside and still bright red on the inside.

That’s not to say you can’t grill a great burger, but it does require a lot of trial and error, and an extra fine touch. Regardless, you’re usually dealing with incredibly high heat that doesn’t always want to obey the grill master.

Impossible to clean

I’ve seen a few clean grills. They were at the hardware store, waiting to be purchased. Beyond that, most grills are utterly grimy, a blackened charred mess. Some people take the time to scrape off the previous burnt offering before starting up the grill again. But even those people who dutifully clean their grills aren’t giving it the thorough deep clean it requires, especially when you consider that you’re dealing with raw meats and cross contamination.

Introducing the Saladmaster Smokeless Broiler

To avoid many of these challenges, you can bring the grill experience indoors with a Smokeless Broiler from Saladmaster

Enjoy real cookout flavor all year with this versatile electric broiler. Crafted of polished stainless steel, this broiler is the convenient way to grill foods like shish kabobs, pork chops, frankfurters, and vegetables.
