The Beauty of a One-Pan Meal

Our Limited Edition 8.5 Qt. Roaster is a Hit!

Do people enjoy cooking at home? The answer may surprise you.

According to a study published this year by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, home cooking has been in decline during the late twentieth century. However, from 2003 to the present, home cooking has significantly increased—especially among men (from 38% to 52%), although women still cook more (68%). There may be many reasons for this trend.

Most families have come to understand that if you want to cook more often at home, the meals need to be easy to fix. The focus has moved to simple, one-course meals with a main item and a single side, keeping the number of ingredients low and the preparation time short. Right now, home meal kits are a multi-billion dollar industry, which also focuses on low effort home cooking. Creating elaborate meals with strange unnecessary garnish is simply not as fashionable as it once was.

One Pan, One Meal

For all these reasons, one-pan meals are extremely popular. These meals are uncomplicated and can feed the whole family. One pan, one dish, dinner is done. Not surprisingly, “one-pan recipes” or “one-pot recipes” are plentiful when you search for them online.

One-pan meals are also a good option for people with busy schedules who love to cook, but hate to clean. We know that nothing is more frustrating than scrubbing cookware in the sink until late in the night, when you’d rather enjoy the rest of your evening. With a one-pan meal, the time and effort is dramatically reduced.

It comes down to a basic belief that cooking at home is the healthiest option, the cheapest option, and it brings the family together around the dinner table. We want to cook for our family as much as possible. Saladmaster was built around this philosophy that home cooking can be life changing. Our world-famous Cooking Show features a simple, delicious meal that can be prepared in very limited time. We do this to show families how easy it is.

Limited Edition 8.5 Qt. Roaster

If ever there was a piece of cookware designed specifically to showcase the one-pan meal, it’s our Limited Edition 8.5 Qt. Roaster. This premiere product from the Complete Gourmet Collection was created with versatility in mind. The Roaster has the capacity to fix a one-pan meal for a large family or your next potluck event — such as roasts, pulled pork, chicken/rice casserole, curries, and pastas. The Roaster can be moved from the stovetop to the tabletop with ease.

The Limited Edition 8.5 Qt. Roaster will only be available during the month of October. We’re almost at the mid-point of the month, and the cookware has been moving fast. It’s been a very popular item. If you’d like a Cooking Coach to show you this Roaster in action, simply Locate a Dealership near you.
