PRIVACY DECLARATION
The data controller in respect of your personal data is Healthier Choice Limited (referred to as “we”, “our” or “us”) in this Privacy Declaration. This Privacy Declaration explains how we will use the personal data that you provide to us (referred to in this Privacy Declaration as your “information”) when you fill out a cooking show Lifestyle Questionnaire, or a lead generation personal information form, or when applying for a loan with assigned, approved financing company to pay for your saladmaster purchase. Please read this Privacy Declaration carefully.
DATA PROTECTION LAW
From 25 May 2018, data protection law is changing – the new law is called the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR for short. From this date, you will have additional rights (and we will have additional obligations) in respect of your personal information. This Privacy Declaration (under the #Your Rights” section) sets out the rights you will have when the GDPR comes into force.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- Lifestyle Questionnaire / Lead Generation Personal Information Sheet
During our cooking shows or lead generation activities, we request your personal information, as indicated on the questionnaire / personal information sheet (for example: name, address, telephone number, email address) solely for marketing purposes only. Such personal information shall be stored unto saladmaster customer relations management database.
- Loan Application for payment of saladmaster purchase
Acting as intermediary of duly assigned financing organisation for Saladmaster UK such as WO Funding, and IKANO, we pass-on your information to them for their checks for the purpose of preventing fraud and money laundering; for them to verify your identity and to assess whether you are sufficiently likely to repay amounts which you would owe to them. These checks by the financing companies require us to ask your personal data: name, nationality, visa, address, date of birth, contact address, employment details, bank details, credit/debit card details, monthly rent or mortgage payments, passport, driving information, utility bills, and monthly income you receive other than salary.
We only collect your personal information using WO Funding or IKANO finance application form, and pass-on said finance application to them by post and email the digital copy of said finance application. After passing on your finance application to the financing companies, administration of your personal information and protection of the same lies on the financing companies.
Lawful basis of processing
We pass on your personal data to the duly assigned financing companies on the basis that we have a legitimate interest and a legal obligation in preventing fraud and money laundering, to verify your identity, and in order to protect our business.
Retention of your information
We do not retain paper copies of your finance application which contains your personal information. The filled-out, customer-signed application form is mailed to the business address of the financing company.
We keep digital copy of your finance application form up to the time the financing company releases its decision whether your application is accepted or declined. We delete the digital copy of your finance application once the financing company releases its decision.
Location of your information
Lifestyle Questionnaire / Lead Generation
Your name, home address, telephone number, and e-mail address are stored in our Customer Relations Management System.
Finance Application
After we pass on your personal information to the Financing company, the same financing company store your personal data at a destination stated on their own privacy declaration policy.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have certain rights including the right of access to your personal data. If anything is inaccurate or incorrect, please let us know and we will correct it.
From 25 May 2018 (When the GDPR comes into effect in the UK), you have certain rights in relation to your information. From this date, you will have the right to (i) be informed about how your information will be used, (ii) ask us to restrict processing, (iii) if it is technically feasible, transmit your information from our systems to a third party’s system in a safe and secure way, (iv) object to our use of your information where we are using it for the purposes of our legitimate interests as described in this agreement, (v) access your information at no cost, (vi) if your information is inaccurate or incomplete, then you can ask us to have it rectified, (vii) in certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to delete your personal information. CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office where your data has or being used in a way that you believe does not comply with data protection laws. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY DECLARTION
We may make changes to this Privacy Declaration at any time by sending you an e-mail or letter with the modified terms. Any changes will take effect 7 days after the date of our e-mail or letter.
