Cookware Sets Can Make a Big Difference
A Change in Your Cookware Could Change Your Life
Small adjustments to your daily routine can be life changing, both positive and negative. For example, we all know that mindlessly snacking on junk food throughout the day, over a long period of time, can have a severe impact on a person’s health. And according to Harvard Health, “A growing body of evidence suggests that spending too many hours sitting is hazardous to your health.” Junk food has long been the enemy of good health, but who would believe that an activity as seemingly benign as sitting could be dangerous? Conversely, the Mayo Clinic suggests that small amounts of aerobic exercise—such as a brisk walk or mowing the lawn—can be helpful. Also, focused breathing for a few minutes each day can lower blood pressure. Cutting out one sugar-sweetened soda can save you 100 or more calories a day. Over a year, that could translate into a 10-pound weight loss. (Data taken from Harvard Health.)
Here are some other examples of small changes that can make a difference.
30 More Minutes of Sleep
Therapist Ginger Houghton wrote, “An increase of around 30 minutes of sleep for several nights in a row can help reduce daytime sleepiness, fatigue, and tension. If you can inch closer to an hour of additional sleep for a few consistent nights, studies show an increase in attention span and improved performance and response times. Additionally, people who are getting the right amount of sleep are also less prone to moodiness, binge-eating, and accidents.”
Most people aren’t getting nearly enough sleep. If you can commit to 30 more minutes of sleep, you may soon notice the benefits.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
If you’re not looking at a completely new healthy diet, but simply want to make a slight adjustment to your daily eating habits, adding more fruits and vegetables would be a great start.
Registered dietician Alyssa Lavy has this to say, “Think in terms of adding nutrition to your diet rather than taking it out. Consider how to add vegetables to increase your nutrient intake, rather than using them as a way to decrease calories or replace a food that has a completely different nutrient value.”
5 More Minutes of Exercise
Certified strength and conditioning specialist, Greg Pignataro says, “There are plenty of great exercises that don’t require any equipment and can be done in the comfort of your own home. A five-minute routine of bodyweight-only exercises performed once a day can be a wonderful catalyst for positive change.”
We sometimes view exercise as a huge commitment, as if it were a new hobby. But exercise doesn’t have to be time consuming. Even people with a busy schedule can do something beneficial, if they commit to it as a daily routine.
The Saladmaster Change
Saladmaster believes that healthier cooking leads to a healthier lifestyle. Our cookware sets offer a way to cook that can transform the way you feel. The cookware is made from high-quality, medical grade 316Ti stainless steel.
Carolyn Evans, Vice President of Marketing at Saladmaster, says, “Properties are similar to those of alloy 316 except that 316Ti can be used at elevated sensitization temperatures, due to its Titanium addition in the steel formation. So this means that when 316 stainless steel is reinforced with titanium, corrosion resistance is improved, particularly against sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic and tartaric acids, acid sulfates and alkaline chlorides.”
The premium material and special design also enables people to cook at lower temperatures. What does this ultimately mean? The Saladmaster cooking method helps maintain the vitamins and nutrients in your food.
What is the benefit of more vitamins and nutrients on a daily basis? The impact could be significant over time, which is one reason why we believe a change in your cookware could change your life.
