Saladmaster Collaborates with the American Diabetes Association as a National Sponsor of “Together We Can Stop Diabetes” Movement

Fort Worth, TX – August 20, 2018 – Inspiring people to eat better, live better, and achieve the life they desire is Fort Worth-based Saladmaster’s mission, and a sponsorship by Saladmaster of the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) aligns perfectly. As a new national sponsor of the ADA’s Together We Can Stop Diabetes®, Saladmaster is supporting the American Diabetes Association’s efforts to educate the public about the devastating impact of diabetes and to encourage individuals, communities, corporations, and healthcare providers to take action in the fight to Stop Diabetes.

“We’re in the perfect position to educate our local communities and to help raise funds for the ADA’s efforts to advance treatment and prevention, and support research for a cure for diabetes,” said Ayo Olaseinde, President of Saladmaster. “Through our Cooking Shows and Schools, we can educate the community on the links between healthy eating and diabetes prevention, and educate people about health complications related to diabetes, such as heart disease and stroke.”

Saladmaster is a Health & Wellness Booth Sponsor of the ADA’s local Tour de Cure and Step Out events, the ADA’s signature fundraising events that promote biking and walking as great ways to exercise and get healthy.

“We are excited about supporting the American Diabetes Association,” Olaseinde said. “It’s an opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful: the ADA’s mission to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected.”

Diabetes is the 7th leading cause of death in the United States. More than 1 in 3 American adults have prediabetes, and 90% of them do not know it. The ADA is the leading resource for the more than 30 million Americans living with diabetes and their families, and the thousands of health professionals who provide their care.

About the American Diabetes Association

Nearly half of American adults have diabetes or prediabetes; more than 30 million adults and children have diabetes; and every 21 seconds, another individual is diagnosed with diabetes in the U.S. Founded in 1940, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is the nation’s leading voluntary health organization whose mission is to prevent and cure diabetes, and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. The ADA drives discovery by funding research to treat, manage and prevent all types of diabetes, as well as to search for cures; raises voice to the urgency of the diabetes epidemic; and works to safeguard policies and programs that protect people with diabetes. In addition, the ADA supports people living with diabetes, those at risk of developing diabetes, and the health care professionals who serve them through information and programs that can improve health outcomes and quality of life.
